Shipping policy

1. Delivery zones

AXELLE VERGER LLC currently delivers to the following destinations:

  • United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland), including rural areas served by our partner carriers;
  • Channel Islands and Isle of Man: extended lead times apply (see section 3);
  • European Union (27 Member States);
  • Switzerland and other European destinations, with customs formalities handled (see section 10);
  • Rest of the world: on request, case-by-case study depending on country and volume. Contact customer service for a personalised quote.

2. Dispatch lead times (order preparation)

Orders confirmed and paid before 2pm (GMT/BST) on a working day (Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays) are dispatched the same day. Beyond that time, or for orders placed at weekends or on a public holiday, dispatch occurs the next working day.

During peak periods (sales, festive season, promotional campaigns), an additional 24 to 48 hour lead time may apply. This is clearly displayed in the basket and at order confirmation whenever it is the case.

3. Estimated delivery times

Estimated delivery times below are stated in working days from dispatch:

  • UK Mainland — Standard delivery: 2 to 5 working days;
  • UK Mainland — Express delivery (24/48h): 1 to 2 working days;
  • Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Highlands: 3 to 7 working days;
  • European Union: 5 to 8 working days;
  • Switzerland and other non-EU European destinations: 5 to 10 working days, subject to customs clearance.

These times are provided as an indication and may vary due to circumstances outside our control (weather, strikes, carrier overload). We will inform you without delay if your shipment is materially impacted.

4. Delivery charges

Delivery charges are calculated based on destination, parcel weight and volume, and the chosen shipping method. A transparent price grid is shown in the basket before final order confirmation, prior to any payment.

Free delivery: standard delivery is free above a minimum order amount displayed on the homepage and announcement bar. The threshold is assessed on the items subtotal including VAT, excluding promotional codes and service fees.

Outside the UK / EU: any applicable customs duties, local taxes (VAT, GST) and clearance fees are not included in our prices and remain payable by the recipient Customer.

5. Delivery methods available

Depending on your destination, several options may be available:

  • Home delivery with signature or safe-place delivery per carrier instructions;
  • Click & Collect / pick-up point at partner shops (UPS Access Point, DPD Pickup, Royal Mail Local Collect): parcels are held for 7 to 10 days after notification of availability;
  • Locker delivery where supported by the carrier;
  • Express delivery with guaranteed slot (subject to carrier and zone).

6. Order tracking

A dispatch email containing a tracking number is sent as soon as the parcel is collected by the carrier. You can follow the delivery at any time:

  • On the partner carrier's website (Royal Mail, DPD, UPS, DHL, Evri / Hermes);
  • From your customer account, under “My orders”;
  • Via SMS notifications when this service is activated by the carrier.

7. Receipt of the parcel and inspection

On delivery, we recommend that you:

  • Check the general condition of the outer packaging in the presence of the driver;
  • In case of visible damage (crushed box, wet packaging, signs of impact, suspicious opening), record precise and detailed reservations on the carrier's delivery note (a generic “subject to unpacking” mention has no legal value);
  • Refuse the parcel where the damage is significant — it will then be returned to the seller and a replacement organised at no cost to you;
  • Report any shortage or damage to the carrier as soon as practicable and to us within 7 days.

8. Parcel not delivered, lost or damaged

In case of any issue (parcel not received, delivered to the wrong address, damaged), contact customer service within 14 days of the estimated delivery date at admin@alaxella.shop. Attach your order number and any useful evidence (photo of damage, delivery note mention, tracking screenshot). We will open a claim with the carrier and keep you informed of its progress. Depending on the outcome, we will arrange a re-shipment at our cost or a full refund.

9. Incorrect address or absent recipient

The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the address provided when ordering. In case of an incorrect or incomplete address, or if the recipient is absent and fails to collect the parcel within the period set by the carrier, the parcel is returned to the seller. A new shipment may be arranged at the Customer's expense after address verification, or the refund issued after deducting the first-shipment costs invoiced by the carrier.

10. International deliveries and customs formalities

For deliveries outside the United Kingdom and the European Union, the parcel may be subject to customs duties, local taxes (VAT, GST, etc.) and clearance fees collected by the authorities of the recipient country. These charges are not included in the price paid on the site and remain payable by the recipient Customer.

If the Customer refuses to pay these charges, the parcel will be returned to the seller. We will then refund the Customer after deducting outward and return transport costs, clearance fees, and any other charge invoiced by the carrier or the customs authorities.

11. Consumer rights and late delivery

Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, if the goods have not been delivered within the agreed delivery time, or within 30 days of the conclusion of the contract in the absence of an agreed date, you may, after giving us a reasonable additional time to deliver, treat the contract as at an end and obtain a full refund within 14 days of cancellation.
